And in carbon terms? The order of magnitude

Each tool on this site answers a question of euros. This one answers the following question, that of a CSR report: how much CO2 equivalent a bike fleet avoids when it replaces car journeys. It depends on no lease payment and no price: only on volumes, which you enter. The emission factors are the public ones from ADEME, on a life-cycle assessment basis, recorded on 29 July 2026 and displayed below the result. The kilometres are never pre-filled: it is the data that makes the result; it must come from you.

This result is a comparative order of magnitude, rounded, based on conventional average factors: it depends on your actual modal shift, which this site does not know. It does not turn your fleet into a “carbon neutral” activity, a claim regulated by article L. 229-68 du code de l'environnement (French environmental code) that this site never makes. The electrically assisted bike factor is applied to cargo bikes, since ADEME publishes no separate cargo-bike factor: the caveat is accepted and displayed.

To gauge what is at stake: the greenhouse gas emissions report is mandatory for companies with more than 500 employees in metropolitan France, updated every four years with a published transition plan (article L. 229-25 du code de l'environnement, French environmental code). Travel emissions are part of it; a fleet of bikes is a documented lever, not an offset.
